This is a guide on how to level your Tailoring profession from 1 to 450 quickly. At each level, it outlines which items you will be able to craft, and what materials you will need. Tailoring is a profession that allows you to craft armor for Mages and Priests out of cloth. You can also make bags, some of which will be highly sought after. This profession is best paired with Enchanting, but can theoretically be paired with any other profession. Cloth drops off mobs and cannot be gathered as such. Tailoring has 3 specialisations; Mooncloth, Spellfire and Shadowcloth. All prices in this guide are approximate, they may differ slightly depending on where you buy recipes and your server.

Levels 1 - 75

To begin your career as a Tailor, you will need to visit a Tailoring trainer in one of the main cities of Azeroth and become an Apprentice. This will cost 8 copper and you must be at least level 5. You will automatically learn the Bolt of Linen Cloth recipe upon becoming a Tailor. Thread and dye can be purchased from any Tailoring or Trade Supplies vendor. On your way to 75, you will be able to purchase several recipes from the Tailoring Trainer:

1: White Linen Shirt, 25 copper

15: Linen Belt, 42 copper

Create 26 Linen Bags (requires 78 Bolts of Linen Cloth and 78 Coarse Thread).

Total Minimum Cost: 17 silver 53 copper

Levels 75 - 150

Visit another Tailoring trainer and become a Journeyman. This will cost 4 silver and 25 copper. On your way to 150, you will be able to purchase several recipes from the Tailoring Trainer:

Return to your trainer and become an Expert Tailor. This will cost 42 silver 50 copper. On your way to 225, you will be able to purchase several recipes from the Tailoring Trainer:

Travel to the Outlands and find the Tailoring trainer in Thrallmar or Honor Hold and become a Master Tailor. This will cost 8 gold and you must be at least level 50. On your way to 350, you will be able to purchase several recipes from the Tailoring Trainer:
